The German Shepherd Dog has influenced my life a lot. And that is due to the Polish serial “Four from the tank and the dog” and my teacher from the primary school. It was him who caught me in Maths with a magazine called Dog - the man’s friend. At first I got a mark as I deserved but immediately afterwards he invited me to visit his mother Mrs. Kamila Buchtíková.

This fate meeting in 1976 ment a lot to me. If each teenager searches for some model I have found it in the person of my breeder, trainer, referee, adviser but especially an unselfish, selfsacrificing and very kind person who made compensation of a family background at a time when I needed it the most. I have become part of many year’s standing breeder and training bustle of the kennel from Horní Plesy and Oranto and I am rightly proud of it.

Very soon my visits at Mrs. Buchtíková began to have a groove. Walk the dogs, train, clean up and then, having something good to eat, the educational training came after. For hours I could listen to talking how she herself began with training and breeding, how and what she achieved, what she had to overcome not only in the dog training but also in her personal life. Soon I understood where she also sees her model and what cardinal points she fixes her attention on.

History and present of dog breeding in Germany has become the principle motive in my cognition. In 1987 after 5 years efforts I succeeded in getting an exchange promise and I could visit the federal exhibition in Duisburg. My experiences surpassed my expectation far more. I came back home to my family and friends full of emotions. At that time I didn’t know yet that in two years the world will open up to us with unsuspected possibilities.

However, the year 1985 became the turning point for me when I raised my first litter under the name of the kennel from Perunských. The name of the kennel I chose accordning to the close natural locality not far from the river Morava where I used to walk the dogs and spend my free time. Besides Oranto also Perun belonged to the pagan gods worshipped by ancient Slavonian. The very certain connection with Slavonian and Oranto has influenced me when I was choosing the name. In 2000 in the kennel registration by FCI the name was changed into Perunius Bohemia.

My aims are modest. I’d like to do the breeding activity in conditions which are established and observed in the country of origin, with limits which we undertake and will not distort them all the time by Czech rigid system.
